CRS 39 was fantastic. Did all that really happen in 3 1/2 days? Highlights galore. From the DJ & Radio Hall of Fame Induction Dinner and Ceremony to Garth's surprise full band performance to hot topic sessions about PPM and performance rights fees. There were over 35 sessions and 140 panelists at CRS 39. We saw great performances by Rodney Atkins, Lee Brice, Ashley Gearing, Keith Anderson, Montgomery Gentry, Emily West, and Lady Antebellum. All of our new faces were great and who could forget about Brad Paisley's performance at The Music City Jam? Two words for WCRS and KCRS: Very cool.
Congratulations to everyone on the CRS 39 agenda committee and to Agenda Chairman Bob Richards. Superb job! Now it's on to CRS 40. I'm honored to have been elected as the Agenda Chairman this year. Joining me as Vice Chair is Bob Reeves, National Director of Promotion Warner Bros. Nashville. Bob has been involved in CRS for the past 21 years.
