"INVESTING IN THE FUTURE POST-MORTEM!"

I certainly hope you spent a quality hour with us at CRS-39 at "Investing In The Future: How Radio and Records Can Partner To Break An Act!" I feel like we proved that an artist visit can be more beneficial to both parties than a cold pizza in the conference room with a couple of salespeople! Panelists Bob Reeves (Warner Bros.), John Shomby (Max Media/Norfolk), and Damon Moberly (Mercury) shared success stories they've been involved in, and moderator Tom Baldrica (Sony/BMG) kept our attendees involved in the conversation. A particularly intriguing idea came from KMLE's Gwen Foster, whose station is presenting "A Year In The Career' of a new artist, allowing the audience to get more PERSONALLY "invested" in a baby act! I think we could've continued sharing ideas for another TWO hours, but with so much great stuff going on at CRS-39, we just ran out of time! Let's continue the investment in 2009 at CRS' Big 4-0!
