Chuck Wicks moderated what was a very well attended panel regarding the use of a website for a radio station. This panel covered the expanded role of a radio station's website in the branding and marketing of a station. With representatives from CBS, Clear Channel and Cumulus a variety of corporate philosophies were represented by the panelists. Topics covered were Content That Drives Traffic, Sales Opportunities, Promoting Your Site, Websites To Watch, Balancing Content Load, and Changes. One of the most hard hitting points seemed to be making the availability of all information easy to find for the listener and making sure that information is kept up to date. a website is not a part of a radio station that should parallel everything that is being talked about on the air. There are many avenues of revenue now opening up to radio through websites that had not existed before. Today's websites have to be a constantly changing and moving entity to better serve your station in every possible way.
