Small Market Programmers listen up! Do you ever feel left out of the game? Do you feel like you're not appreciated or recognized by the radio industry? Do you feel largely ignored by the record companies because you're "too small to matter"?

If you answered "Yes", then get up right now, march into your GM's office and start talking about CRS 41! Trust me...I can wait until you get back. It's that important.

CRS is a vital tool for any programmer, but especially those of us who fight the good fight serving our smaller, local communities. We are all playing the same game, but as those in small markets know, there are unique struggles for small markets. This is why it is essential to be able to network and build a professional "buddy system", if you will, with your peers...people you can call and email and bounce things off of. More importantly, CRS allows you the opportunity to meet and network with your label reps. That's right...you actually have a label rep.

Attached is a handout I was asked to write for some advice for folks struggling to get record service. These are valuable tools essential for not just getting product, but forming a relationship that is mutually beneficial. I have updated it for those that got it at the seminar.

CRS-40 had some very helpful, insightful panels for small markets. CRS-41 will be bigger and better, for sure. If you hadn't planned on going or were on the fence about next year, then refer to the beginning of this email and reconsider. Don't be left out! You need CRS and the beautiful thing is...CRS needs you! Now...if you haven't already...walk down the hall to your GM's office.
