How do I get to be that guy, indeed! It was great to get a glimpse inside the heads of three of the most successful people in the radio and record industry; Butch Waugh, Mike Peterson and J D Cannon, not to mention throwing in a great moderator in RJ Curtis. The panelists shared a number of stories from their formative years and passed on to all attending the wisdom that comes from experience. In an open forum many questions were asked about how an �up and comer� can add value to themselves and insights were given as to how the minds of these successful people work. One anecdote that Butch Waugh shared stressed how important it is to �bloom where you are planted�, while Mike Peterson encouraged attendees to �learn every facet of the radio business no matter what your current position�. It seems making the most of where you are is exactly what you need to do to get to where you want to be.
