SCOTT Larry
Scott (born Modesto CA, September 27, 1938) worked
on the air at many of the most legendary stations in
Country radio. Scott’s first announcing job was
in April 1955 at KBTN, Neosho MO. Since then, he worked
at WIL, St. Louis MO, KFDI, Wichita KS, KUZZ, Bakersfield
CA, KBBQ and KLAC, Los Angeles CA, KBOX and KRLD, Dallas
TX and KWKH, Shreveport LA. From August 1982 until
August 1996, Larry hosted the Interstate Road Show
on KWKH AM and FM Shreveport, LA. In August 1996, Larry
brought his show to KVOO. Larry is a member of the
Western Swing Hall of Fame, has been honored as Major
Market Disc Jockey of the Year by the Country Music
Association and four times as Disc Jockey of the Year
by the Academy of Country Music. Larry Scott was inducted
into the Country Music D J Hall of Fame in 1993.
