JONATHAN
FRICKE
Jonathan Fricke worked both on the air and as management
for radio stations and radio chains from 1963 to 1981,
but will always be best remembered as the Program Director
who changed the format to Country at two legendary
Country stations: WMC, Memphis, TN and at WSAI, Cincinnati,
OH (for which he received Billboard Major Market Country
Program Director of the Year award). He worked at other
Country stations including KDJW, Amarillo, TX; KBUY,
Fort Worth, TX; KOKE AM/FM, Austin, TX; KFOX, Los Angeles,
CA and KRAK, Sacramento, CA. He served on the Country
Radio Seminar Agenda Committee for twelve years, including
a year as Agenda chair and is the founder of Radio
Against Drugs In Our Society. Jonathan Fricke was inducted
into the Country Radio Hall of Fame in 2006.
